February 3rd to March 6th 2018

We first exhibited work by north east England artist Rob Newton around ten years ago, when his masterly use of oil paint in expressing the skies over the fields around his home in Northumberland captured our enthusiasm and imagination. Over the years his practice has evolved, and now more printmaking is incorporated into his work. We are thrilled to exhibit Rob once again, this time at the start of The Line's 24th year in Linlithgow. To Catch a Line draws upon Rob's fascination with fishing and the rivers of the north east. Water and reflection, skies in all weathers, trees and fields are all represented in this, a major exhibition for the start of 2018.

We are delighted with the selection of work Rob has made to hang in The Line, and we take pleasure in welcoming you to the show which will open from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday February 3rd 2018. The exhibition will run until Tuesday March 6th at 5pm - we look forward to seeing you there!
